I am so addicted to the recipes on the back of boxes! I can't get enouth of these!
I found these fun cookies on the back of a Shop n' Save Tasteeos cereal box (generic Cheerios). These cookies are great to make with kids; I made them with my two year olds this morning! They have a nice crunch. Mmmmm...
Yield: About 4 dozen
1/2 cup (1 stick) margarine or butter, softened
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
2 1/2 cups Tasteeos (or Cheerios, or other similiar cereal)
1/2 cup M&M's (about two regular size 1.69 oz. packages)
Prehead oven to 350 degrees. Beat margarine and sugar until creamy. Add egg and vanilla; beat until fluffy. Stir in flower and baking powder; mix well. Add cereal and M&M's, stirring until just blended. Drop by rounded teaspoons, 2 inches apart, onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 10-12 minutes, or until cookies are lightly browned. Let cool 1 minute before removing to racks to cool.
